Why We Give

At Newfound Baptist we give as an act of worship and faith. It declares our faith in:

• God’s Ownership – We do not give to God, we give back to God. He doesn’t need our gifts. We need to acknowledge his ownership through giving. He provides even what we give back. “The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants belong to the Lord.” Psalm 24:1 CSB
• God’s Provision – We show our trust in God as provider when we tithe and trust him to supply our needs. “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 CSB
• God’s Reward – We show our desire to invest in the Kingdom of God which will never pass away. “Don’t store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 CSB.

Our promise to you is that we will use your gifts to glorify God with the furtherance of His kingdom through ministry. We tirelessly work to reduce administrative costs in order to benefit ministry growth.

If you plan to use a credit card, we ask that you only do so if you can pay off the amount when the bill comes due, as we do not want to contribute to credit card debt in your personal stewardship. Whether you give by credit, debit, or electronic check, you will be given the OPTION to help us pay the processing fees for these transactions. If you do, they will show on your giving statements separately and are tax-deductible. This is purely optional and not required.
